‘AFFIRMATIONS COLLAGE’

Thank you again to the TRC for supporting this public art workshop! This collage workshop focused on representing positive affirmations, quotes, and phrases, through colours, symbols, and textures. Participants used a range of upcycled paper products to create a framed artwork. So many thoughtful creations.

‘Our Malanda Seasons: A Year of Community Creation’
Hosted by Malanda C & K, Malanda, QLD
Staff, kindergarten students, and families of the Malanda C & K will contribute to a mixed media artwork over the course of a school year. The collaborative artwork will represent the local seasons of Malanda, using Indigenous weather knowledge, prompted by the Yirrganydji Calendar.

‘FLORA & FAUNA COLLAGE – PRINCIPLES OF ART’

Thank you again to the TRC for supporting this public art workshop! This collage workshop focused on upcycling old magazines and books containing flora & fauna images. Participants considered principles of art to create unique pieces. Some people created for fun and relaxation, and some for self-reflection. Diverse people and ideas!

‘SURREALIST COLLAGE – DOORWAYS‘

Thank you to the TRC for supporting this public art workshop! This collage workshop focused on using doorways in a surrealist style. Participants considered the symbology of doorways – transitions, beginnings, journeys, transformations – as well as working intuitively with colour and shape. Creative ideas all-round!

‘MATISSE IN FNQ – PAPER COLLAGE’

Thank you to the TRC for supporting my first public art workshop! Inspired by the bold colours and playful shapes of Henri Matisse, this workshop encouraged representations of the flora and fauna of Far North Queensland. Kids and adults alike created bright and fun pieces.
